Hey there and welcome to my little corner of the internet…

My name is Molly Majher (pronounced like "major") and I am a wedding and portrait photographer serving Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, and beyond. I'm a West Virginia native and currently live in Frederick County, Virginia. I married my high school sweetheart in 2013 right after graduating from WVU and we have two wonderful little girls. In my free time I enjoy being with my family, playing video games, cooking, and visiting wineries. I'm also a Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter fangirl.

How it all began…

I started my photography journey back in middle school when I learned some of the basics of what makes a good photo. I spent years taking pretty photos of nature without understanding how to make my camera do exactly what I wanted it to. It wasn't until after college that I really began to learn how to master my camera and then began to photograph people. In 2018 I started my photography business and I never looked back. The connections I've made with people, the memories I can capture for others with my art, and the thrill of creating have brought me so much joy!

When you hire me as your wedding photographer…

You don't just get a person who shows up with a camera (I show up with 3!), but you get someone who you can be yourself around, someone to answer your questions, help create your wedding day timeline so it all flows perfectly, someone to hold your umbrella when it rains, someone who will help calm your nerves, to help you button all those buttons or expertly fluff your gown as needed, and who will all-too-eagerly teach your guests how to do the "Cupid Shuffle.” I do all this while taking stunning photos for you to remember all the big and little moments of your wedding day. I don't just care about your photos, I care about you two, your experience on your wedding day, and the way that you look back on it for the rest of your lives.

When you hire me as your portrait photographer…

My main goal is to make you feel comfortable and confident in front of the camera and have fun while doing it. I keep things light and get "formal" and fun images during our time together. I want to capture your authentic self in your photos. Portraits aren't just for you to appreciate presently- they're for your family and friends, for you when you're 40 years older, for your children and grandchildren to get a glimpse of your life now. Portraits are a legacy.
